The difference between Samba Backlit and LumiTex is mainly related to the printing technique. Samba tendon fabric is provided with a 200% UV-print fabric and LumiTex involves a 200% sublimation print. The disadvantage of a UV-print is that the double ink layers emit a (temporary) strong odor. LumiTex, on the other hand, is odorless and wrinkle-free.
In addition, the print on LumiTex fabric is slightly more durable compared to Samba Backlit. The inks used are water-based. Furthermore, LumiTex (just like Samba Backlit) is also PVC-free and recyclable.
The final characteristic difference between both fabrics is that Samba Backlit is provided with a coating. Thanks to this coating, Samba Backlit can also be used outdoors for a short time. LumiTex is exclusively suitable for indoor applications.
