With a printed flag, you bring your company to people’s attention. We print your company logo or design razor-sharp in full colour on flag fabric in a size of your choice. All our flags are delivered ready-to-use for attachment to your flagpole.

Landscape or portrait flags

The flag is available in two models: landscape or portrait. Below we briefly explain the differences.

Landscape flag
The landscape flag is a classic flag shape (like a national flag). The landscape flag is suitable for a flagstaff (finished with loop and cord) or a flagpole (finished with tape and hooks).

Portrait flag
The portrait flag is also called a banner, high-format flag, or vertical flag. The portrait flag is a narrow tall flag, finished with a tunnel hem at the top. You can mount the portrait flag in a designated banner flagpole. This flagpole has a banner gallows at the top, which slides through the tunnel hem of the portrait flag. This ensures that your flag remains clearly visible even with little wind (unlike the landscape flag).

Choose the right flag material

Choose from three different types of flag fabric. Each type of fabric has its own unique properties. Is sustainability important to you? Or do you plan to use the flags at a location with typically high (strong) winds? Below we briefly explain the different flag fabric properties so you can quickly make the right choice.

• Flag: The standard fabric for printed flags (most ordered).
• Flag PET: An eco-friendly choice, made from 100% recycled PET bottles.
• Longlife: This extra strong fabric has a special structure that reduces fraying. This allows you to count on an extra-long lifespan.

The finishing of your flag

After printing the flag fabric, the finishing can take place. The flag can be finished in various ways. Depending on the use and your personal preferences, you can assemble your flag entirely to your liking with us.

The flag can be finished with a white header with hooks or a black header with hooks. You can thus coordinate this light or dark finish with the design of your printed flag.
This finish can be applied to the left or right side of your flag. You can also choose a tunnel hem for the banner holder or no tunnel hem. Furthermore, various accessories are available for your flag.

Which flag size is suitable?

For the best result, you should order the correct flag size. Prevent an incorrect ratio of the printed flag in combination with the height of your flagpole. Use the overview below to order the correct flag size.

• 50 x 75 cm – 1 to 1.5 metre flagstaff
• 100 x 70 cm – 1 to 2 metre flagstaff
• 100 x 150 cm – 2 to 3 metre flagstaff
• 120 x 180 cm – 3 to 4 metre flagstaff
• 150 x 225 cm – 6 and 7 metre pole
• 200 x 300 cm – 8 metre pole

Banner size and flagpole height

• 300 x 100 cm – 6 and 7 metre pole
• 400 x 100 cm – 8 metre pole
• 350 x 120 cm – 7 metre pole
• 400 x 120 cm – 8 and 9 metre pole
• 450 x 150 cm – minimum 9 metre pole
• 500 x 120 cm – minimum 9 metre pole

How long do flags last?

Flags are subject to wear and tear and, depending on a number of factors, will eventually need replacing. The biggest influence on the lifespan of the flag is the weather conditions. Strong wind naturally makes your flag flutter beautifully. But the combination of strong wind and lots of rain does shorten the lifespan. Strong wind gives the flag the character of a whip. The disadvantage of these hard blows is that the ends absorb all the energy. Rain also makes flags heavy, which further reinforces this effect. We finish flags with high-quality threads and provide all flags with a double hem. This prevents premature wear as much as possible. Nevertheless, wear and replacement of flags is eventually unavoidable.

5 Tips to prevent flag wear

To maximise the lifespan of the flag, we offer the following advice and tips.

1. Bring the flag inside during bad weather (especially from wind force 6)
2. Regularly check the stitching all around and repair loose stitching
3. Wash the flag regularly at 30° with a mild detergent to prevent dirt from ‘baking in’.
4. If your flag hangs outside day and night in poor weather conditions, the lifespan can be reduced to three months or less.
5. Use flexible mast rings (flagfix) for attaching your flag. With this elastic fastening material, there is less tension on the flag fabric.

How do I best maintain the quality of the flag?

For optimal use of the flags, it is desirable to bring them inside on time, especially from wind force 6. This reduces the risk of damage and makes the flag last longer.

Did you know you can also put the flags in the washing machine? It is possible to wash the flags at a maximum of 30 degrees Celsius. Use only mild detergent for this.
