Wall decoration

Transform empty walls into professional and atmospheric interior features with custom wall decoration. Choose an interchangeable textile frame, a decorative textile poster, modular printed hexagons or an acoustic textile frame. Ideal for offices, shops, restaurants, hotels, reception areas and public interiors.

Wall decoration

Custom wall decoration turns empty walls into atmospheric and recognisable parts of an interior. Use photography, artwork, patterns or branded designs to create an environment that reflects your organisation and makes customers, visitors and employees feel welcome.

At Amstel Printing, you can choose from textile frames, wall hangings, textile posters, modular hexagons, circular wall decoration and acoustic wall products. The best solution depends on the available wall space, desired appearance, installation method and whether you want to replace the image later.

Why choose custom wall decoration?

  • Create atmosphere without occupying valuable floor space
  • Strengthen your brand identity throughout the interior
  • Display your own photography, artwork or patterns
  • Choose between fixed and interchangeable wall graphics
  • Combine decorative visuals with acoustic improvement
  • Available for offices, retail, hospitality and public spaces

Textile frames with interchangeable graphics

A custom textile frame creates a clean, modern wall presentation. The printed fabric is finished with a silicone edge that fits tightly into the frame, producing a smooth graphic surface without visible fixings.

Textile frames can be mounted on a wall or ceiling and are also available as freestanding systems. Depending on the configuration, you can choose an unlit frame or an illuminated LED frame in different colours and profile depths.

The print can be removed and replaced while the frame remains installed. This makes textile frames particularly useful for seasonal interiors, regularly changing photography, retail campaigns and company communication.

Replacement prints for existing textile frames

If you already have a compatible frame, you can order a new tension fabric print without replacing the complete system.

Select the fabric according to the frame type, required light transmission and intended appearance. An LED frame requires a suitable backlit textile, while an unlit wall frame uses a different type of printed fabric. Always check the precise frame dimensions and silicone-edge specifications before ordering a replacement print.

Wooden textile frames for a natural appearance

A wooden textile frame combines an interchangeable fabric print with the warmer appearance of natural wood. It is suitable for offices, restaurants, hotels and interiors where aluminium would appear too technical or commercial.

The wood grain remains part of the presentation and works particularly well with nature photography, warm colour palettes and hospitality interiors. As with an aluminium textile frame, the fabric can be replaced when you want to update the image.

Textile posters with wooden hanging rods

A custom textile poster offers a lighter and more informal alternative to a framed wall print. The fabric is supplied with beechwood hanging rods at the top and bottom and can be displayed immediately.

Choose Kendal for a subtle twill structure or Structex for a heavier textile with a cotton-like appearance. Textile posters are suitable for illustrations, photography, quotations and decorative branding in offices, shops and hospitality environments.

Keep text and logos away from the tunnel hems at the top and bottom, as these areas are used for the wooden rods.

Wall hangings for large decorative visuals

A printed wall hanging creates a soft and atmospheric feature wall. It is suitable for large photographs, illustrations, artistic patterns and decorative visual storytelling.

Compared with a rigid panel, textile is lightweight and easier to handle in larger dimensions. A wall hanging is particularly appropriate when the fabric texture and softer appearance should contribute to the overall interior.

Modular wall decoration with printed hexagons

Printed hexagons let you create a modular composition using photographs, colours, patterns and illustrations. Combine different sizes or divide one large image across several panels.

The hexagons are available in several materials and six standard sizes. This makes them suitable for creating anything from a compact decorative group to a larger feature wall.

Before ordering, plan the complete arrangement and spacing between the individual panels. Keep faces, text and other important image elements away from the edges if the design is divided across several hexagons.

Acoustic wall panels with custom prints

Custom AcousticPro® panels combine printed decoration with sound-absorbing material. They are available in Basic and Premium versions and can be supplied with a black or white aluminium frame.

The Basic panel has a stated acoustic value of 0.65. The Premium version contains an additional acoustic layer and has a stated value of up to 0.9. These panels are useful in offices, meeting rooms, restaurants and other interiors containing hard, sound-reflecting surfaces.

The acoustic material and print are fixed within the panel and are not intended for easy replacement. Choose an acoustic textile frame if regularly changing the visual is important.

Acoustic textile frames with replaceable graphics

An acoustic textile frame combines acoustic filling with an interchangeable tension fabric print. You can therefore update the image while retaining the acoustic material and frame.

This makes it suitable for conference rooms, reception areas, hospitality interiors and commercial spaces where visual communication changes but acoustic improvement remains necessary.

Acoustic hexagons for modular sound absorption

Custom AcousticPro® hexagons add sound absorption in a distinctive modular shape. They are available in two sizes and with a black or white frame.

Use a series of identical designs for a calm pattern or combine photographs and colours to create a feature wall. Because the panels contain acoustic material made partly from recycled cotton fibres, they help reduce sound reflections within the room.

Decorative wall products or acoustic products?

  • Choose a standard textile frame for a clean presentation with an easily replaceable print.
  • Choose a wooden textile frame for an interchangeable print with a warmer appearance.
  • Choose a textile poster or wall hanging for a lightweight and softer decorative result.
  • Choose printed hexagons for a modular composition with different shapes and images.
  • Choose AcousticPro® panels for fixed printed decoration with strong acoustic properties.
  • Choose an acoustic textile frame when you want sound absorption and a replaceable graphic.

Wall decoration and room acoustics

Acoustic wall products absorb sound reflections and reduce reverberation within a room. This can make conversations clearer and the interior feel calmer. Their effectiveness depends on the dimensions of the room, the amount of acoustic material and the presence of other soft or hard surfaces.

Acoustic wall products do not soundproof a room. Preventing sound from travelling between rooms requires construction measures involving walls, ceilings, floors, doors and ventilation.

Create a balanced feature wall

Start by measuring the complete wall and noting furniture, switches, doors and other obstacles. Consider the viewing distance and leave sufficient empty space around the decoration so the composition does not feel crowded.

For a series of products, use consistent spacing and align the centre lines carefully. Repeat colours or image styles to create unity, even when using different formats.

Preparing your wall-decoration artwork

Use high-resolution images and the correct product template. Keep important text, faces and logos away from frames, hems, tunnels, silicone edges and cutting lines.

For a replacement tension fabric print, verify the exact visible size, outer dimensions and type of silicone edge used by the existing frame. Small differences can prevent the new fabric from fitting correctly.

Frequently asked questions

Which type of wall decoration should I choose?

Choose a textile frame for an interchangeable graphic, a wall hanging or textile poster for a softer decorative appearance, hexagons for a modular composition or an acoustic product when reducing reverberation is also important.

Can I replace the print in a textile frame?

Yes. The tension fabric can be removed and replaced while the frame remains installed. Make sure the replacement fabric has the correct dimensions, finishing and silicone edge for the existing frame.

What is the difference between a textile poster and textile frame?

A textile poster hangs between wooden rods and has a softer, more informal appearance. A textile frame holds the fabric tightly inside an aluminium or wooden frame and creates a cleaner, more structured presentation.

Can I create one image across several hexagons?

Yes, but the artwork must account for the gaps and cut edges between the individual panels. Avoid placing small text, faces or other important details directly across these divisions.

Which acoustic wall product allows the image to be replaced?

An acoustic textile frame has an interchangeable tension fabric print. The print and acoustic material in standard AcousticPro® panels and hexagons are fixed and are not intended for easy replacement.

Will acoustic panels make a room soundproof?

No. They absorb reflections and reduce reverberation inside the room. Complete sound insulation requires structural measures involving walls, doors, ceilings, floors and ventilation.

How much acoustic wall decoration do I need?

This depends on room size, ceiling height, existing furniture and the amount of glass, concrete and other reflective material. A project-specific acoustic assessment is recommended for larger or demanding spaces.

Can I supply my own photograph or design?

Yes. Use a high-resolution file and follow the artwork specifications for the selected product. Keep essential elements away from frames, hems, tunnels and cutting edges.

How do I determine the correct dimensions?

Measure the complete available wall and note nearby furniture, doors and switches. Account for viewing distance and leave sufficient empty space around the product or composition.
