Materials (3 different fabrics)

• Flag: The standard fabric for printed banners.
• Flag PET: An eco-friendly choice, made from 100% recycled PET bottles.
• Longlife: This extra strong fabric has a special structure that reduces fraying, which ensures a longer lifespan.

Finishing of your banner

After printing the flag fabric, the finishing follows. Depending on the intended use and your personal preferences, you choose a finishing that best suits this.

Color of the header and the hooks

You can choose a finishing with a white or black header with hooks, where the color can be matched to the design of your flag.

Wind direction: Left or right?

The header is attached to the left or right side of the flag. If the wind direction is right, the finishing will be on the left side (and vice versa).

In addition, we offer the option for a pole sleeve, ideal for use with a banner holder, or a finishing without a hem. Furthermore, various accessories are available to complete your banner flag.

Which flag size is suitable?

For an optimal result, it is important to choose the right flag size in combination with the height of the flagpole. Below you will find an overview of recommended dimensions.

Banner sizes and corresponding mast heights

• 300 x 100 cm – 6 to 7 meter mast
• 400 x 100 cm – 8 meter mast
• 350 x 120 cm – 7 meter mast
• 400 x 120 cm – 8 to 9 meter mast
• 450 x 150 cm – minimum 9 meter mast
• 500 x 120 cm – minimum 9 meter mast

How long do banner flags last?

Banner flags are sensitive to wear and will need to be replaced over time. The main factor influencing the lifespan of a banner is the weather conditions. For example, strong winds make your banner flutter beautifully, but this will also shorten its lifespan. Especially the combination of strong wind and rain causes banners to wear faster.

To extend the lifespan, we finish our flags with strong threads and provide them with a double hem. This reduces the chance of premature wear. Nevertheless, replacement of banners will eventually be inevitable.

Factors influencing the lifespan

• Weather conditions – Wind and rain have a major impact on the banner.
• Location of the flag – Sheltered spots extend the lifespan.
• Size of the flag – Larger banners catch more wind, which causes more tension on the fabric.
• Use and maintenance – Proper maintenance significantly extends the lifespan of the banner flag.

Tips to extend the lifespan of your flag

1. Bring the banner flag inside during bad weather, especially at wind force 6 or higher.
2. Regularly check the seams and repair loose stitching.
3. Wash the flag at 30°C with a fine detergent to prevent dirt buildup.
4. When the banner flag is continuously outside in bad weather conditions, the lifespan can drop to three months or shorter.
5. Use flexible mast rings (such as Flagfix) to reduce tension on the banner flag fabric.

Maintenance for long-lasting quality

To optimally maintain the quality of your banners, it is advisable to bring your banner flags inside during bad weather conditions (at wind force 6 or higher). This reduces the chance of damage and extends the lifespan.

Did you know that banners can be washed?

You can easily clean your banner flag in the washing machine at a maximum of 30°C with a fine detergent. This prevents dirt from setting into the fabric and keeps your banner flag looking like new.
